A silver vase of tapering trumpet form featuring hand-chased and engraved Ghalam-zani decoration. The flared rim has a scalloped edge above a band of floral scrollwork and arched panels containing seated figures engaged in courtly activities. The central body transitions through raised mouldings to a continuous frieze depicting multiple figures in traditional Persian dress, including musicians and a hunter on horseback, set against a background of foliate and floral scrolls. The circular flared foot is decorated with pendant floral motifs and a geometric border. The interior and underside show evidence of hand-hammering.
