The central composition depicts two seated male figures engaged in dialogue. The elder figure is depicted with a long white beard, wearing an oversized white turban and a pale robe lined in pink. The younger figure is dressed in a brown robe and white turban. They are set against a simplified architectural backdrop of white and blue. The scene is enclosed within multiple borders, including a broad margin featuring a repeating floral and foliate pattern in neutral tones. The upper portion of the work contains four panels of Nasta’liq script in black ink set against a gold ground. A blue cartouche positioned below the upper panels contains the legible text followed by further illegible script. A lower gilded cartouche contains very faint, illegible script. The artwork is presented in a white mat and a gilded wooden frame.
