Buyer's Premium:

A hand-knotted Persian carpet originating from the Tabriz region, featuring a traditional all-over Herati or Mahi pattern. The design consists of a midnight blue central field densely populated with repeated diamond-shaped floral motifs flanked by four curved, serrated leaves in terracotta, sky blue, cream, and ochre tones. This central field is enclosed by a wide terracotta-ground main border decorated with alternating large palmettes and scrolling foliate vines, framed by multiple minor guard borders with floral and geometric motifs. The carpet is constructed with a wool pile on a cotton foundation. A close-up view of the reverse in photo 2 shows a high knot density.
