Buyer's Premium:

A large hand-woven Qashqai kilim rug originating from Southwest Persia, dating to approximately 1900. The rug features an all-over geometric design composed of interlocking stepped diamonds and dense zigzag motifs, forming a repeating lattice pattern across the field. The colour palette is diverse, including brick red, navy blue, forest green, ochre yellow, and cream, all set against a dark brown ground. The main field is enclosed by a dark brown border decorated with a continuous serrated ivory-white diamond pattern. The top and bottom ends are finished with decorative guard stripes and horizontal bands containing small, stylized geometric icons. The rug is constructed using a traditional flatweave technique on a wool foundation.

260cm by 153cm.
