A rectangular box constructed from hand-carved sandalwood, featuring exceptionally deep high-relief decoration across all exterior surfaces. The lid is centred by a rectangular panel depicting a seated male figure in a pose of royal ease beneath a cusped trefoil arch, flanked by two slender pillars. The figure is adorned with traditional jewellery and a crown, holding a long staff. The central panel is surrounded by a dense field of scrolling Vanaspati style foliage, featuring blossoming flowers and two prominently carved elephants in the upper corners. The front, back, and side panels continue this motif, populated with various birds nestled within the intricate foliate scrolls. The interior is unlined, showing a plain wood finish.
