Each ring features a characteristic asymmetrical band tapering into a wide, shield-like guard designed to protect the thumb from a bowstring. The first ring is decorated with an incised central motif flanked by two circular sun or wheel symbols. The second ring features white metal inlay depicting calligraphic characters on one face and a symmetrical scrolling foliate pattern on the reverse; the inlaid characters are not clearly legible as a name. The third ring has a pointed triangular guard decorated with concentric ring-and-dot motifs in vertical registers and diagonal hatching on the bands.
