The piece is crafted from a dark-stained hardwood, featuring a lobed circular top with a moulded edge. Inset into the centre of the top is a glazed ceramic tile decorated in the Persian Safavid revival style. The tile depicts a central seated figure surrounded by trailing white blossoms and scrolling vines, executed in a palette of turquoise, cobalt blue, and ochre yellow. The top is supported by a turned baluster-form central column, which stands on a tripod base. Each of the three out-swept cabriole legs features carved detail at the knee and terminates in a scrolled foot.
