Buyer's Premium:

A large circular silver-coloured metal brooch, known as a tabzimt, originating from the Kabylie region of Algeria. The brooch is constructed from a central circular plaque decorated with intricate filigree wirework and cloisonné enamelling in vibrant shades of green, yellow, and blue. The front is set with six natural red coral cabochons of irregular shape and size, arranged in a radial pattern around a central stone. Seven pendants are suspended from the lower edge: four diamond-shaped plaques each set with a coral cabochon and three globular pendants featuring filigree and enamel ornamentation. The reverse of the brooch features a central star-shaped motif decorated with similar polychrome enamel. The piece is fitted with a thick wire pin and a simple C-clasp mechanism.
