An Omani tribal pectoral necklace featuring a central rectangular hirz amulet box pendant and four silver coins. The necklace is constructed on a thick, braided natural fibre rope cord, which is strung with silver-toned metal beads including ribbed cylinders and segmented globular forms. The central rectangular hirz pendant features a central gold-toned gilt panel decorated with a raised quatrefoil and dot pattern, flanked by vertical ribbed columns and bordered by rows of impressed lozenges. Four gold-toned triangular accents are applied to the corners. The pendant is suspended from the cord via three loops, the central one being a decorated cylinder topped with a domed finial. Ten lengths of curb-link chain are suspended from the base of the pendant, each terminating in a small, square silver-toned metal plaque oriented as a diamond. The necklace is further adorned with four silver Maria Theresa Thaler trade coins. The obverse of these coins bears the impressed legend M THERESIA D G ARCHID AVST DUX BURG CO TYR 1780. The reverse of the coins depicts an imperial double-headed eagle.
