Lot 106: A GROUP OF OMANI GILT AND SILVER-TONED JEWELLERY, 20TH CENTURY
0 views
A group of traditional Omani jewellery constructed from a silver-toned metal alloy with partial gilding. The collection includes a wide hinged cuff bracelet with a rounded profile, decorated with chased and engraved bands of geometric and floral motifs. An impressed mark is visible on the inner rim of the cuff, though the characters are not legible as a name or purity standard. The cuff is secured with a removable pin closure attached by a safety chain. The group further comprises two matching hinged bracelets, each featuring three rows of prominent conical studs in a traditional spiked design, also finished with pin and chain closures. Completing the lot is a spindle-shaped pendant, decorated with filigree wirework, granulated sphere clusters, and remnants of yellow gilding across the central panels.
