Buyer's Premium:

A traditional tribal collar necklace composed of hand-crafted silver-toned metal components and historic coinage. The necklace body features twenty tapered, ribbed beads with granulated borders. Interspersed among the beads are eight smaller silver coins, each secured to the necklace by a folded silver mount. The central focal point is a large circular repoussé pendant decorated with an eight-petalled floral motif featuring parcel-gilt accents and a central boss. This motif is surrounded by concentric decorative bands of stamped geometric patterns including zig-zags and granulation. The reverse of the central pendant is formed from a large silver coin showing the relief of a double-headed eagle. The smaller coins bear readable fragments of Latin inscriptions including B U R G – C O T Y R and I D A V S T D U X, which identify them as Maria Theresa Thaler restrikes. The necklace is secured with a traditional thick woven natural fiber cord tie.
