Each anklet features a substantial tubular, gadrooned body with heavy diagonal ribbing and bands of chased geometric decoration. The central focus of each piece is a pair of rectangular silver panels decorated with high-relief floral and foliate repoussé work, finished with a gold wash. These panels are bordered by intricate bands of chased ornamentation, including chevron patterns, circular motifs, and linear borders. The anklets are hinged on one side and secured on the opposite side with a removable threaded pin, each topped with a decorative fluted, conical head.
