This is a single volume, octavo edition of Athar al-Madinah al-Munawwarah (Landmarks of Medina) by Abdul Quddus Al-Ansari, published in 1353 AH / 1935 AD. The title page identifies the work as the first book of its kind issued in the Hejaz. The author is described as an employee of the Diwan of the Emirate of Medina and a professor of Arabic literature at the Sharia Sciences School. The book was printed at the expense of Al-Maktaba al-Ilmiyya in Medina by Al-Taraqqi Press in Damascus. The volume is quarter-bound in red leather with pink-toned marbled paper boards, featuring a spine with gilt-lettered and tooled bands. The interior contains halftone photographic illustrations of historical sites, including a panoramic view of Medina and the Adum al-Dahyan fortress. The title page bears a faint blue circular stamp and several pencil notations, including 200 and CV, with additional pencil markings on the flyleaf.
