Lot 203: A PALESTINIAN POTTERY BOWL IN THE IZNIK STYLE, JERUSALEM, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

This Palestinian pottery bowl is decorated in the Iznik style, characteristic of the Armenian ceramic workshops established in Jerusalem during the early 20th century. The fritware vessel is underglaze painted in a palette of cobalt blue, turquoise, ochre, and pale green. The interior features a central eight-pointed star medallion, from which eight large floral cartouches radiate against a deep blue ground. The border consists of concentric bands with simplified floral and scrolling motifs. The exterior is similarly decorated with stylized floral sprays and lobed panels. The bowl sits on a low, unglazed footring. No maker marks or inscriptions are visible on the base.
