Buyer's Premium:

This hand-knotted Persian Kashan Dabir rug features an all-over Boteh pattern. The rug is constructed with a high knot density, utilizing fine wool or silk on a cotton or silk foundation. The design consists of repeating teardrop-shaped Boteh motifs set against an ocher-gold field. Each motif is filled with floral sprays in shades of cobalt blue, madder red, and rose pink. The field is further decorated with scrolling floral vines and blossoms. The composition is framed by multiple decorative borders, with the primary border displaying an undulating floral vine. A woven rectangular cartouche is located in the upper border containing Persian calligraphic script. The inscription identifies the origin as Kashan and includes the signature of the master weaver Mohammad Dabiri Sanaye. The reverse side exhibits a fine, tight weave consistent with professional workshop production.
