The garment is constructed from a purple silk damask featuring a large-scale Baroque-style foliate and floral scroll pattern woven with metallic gold-wrapped thread. A central vertical orphrey of red damask is applied to the front and back, decorated with a repeating motif of rayed Latin crosses. The edges and orphrey are bordered with a wide, geometric woven metallic galloon trim. The interior is fully lined with an ochre-colored fabric, likely silk or polished cotton. A small blue fabric tag with illegible white characters is attached to the lower edge of the interior lining.
