Lot 262: A SIGNET RING IN THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL STYLE WITH INCISED CHARACTERS

A signet ring of integrated construction, crafted from a gray-toned metal alloy. The ring features an oval-shaped bezel with an incised design consisting of four primary characters or pseudo-script symbols arranged horizontally. These symbols include a circle with a central dot and various vertical and hooked lines, framed by curved lines above and below. The shoulders of the ring are decorated with simple vertical and diagonal incised lines. The construction is simple, with the band widening to form the bezel. No maker marks, hallmarks, or fineness stamps are visible on the interior or exterior of the band.
