Lot 261: A SILVER-TONED SIGNET RING WITH ENGRAVED MOTIF AND RUNIC STYLE SHOULDER MARKS

A signet-style ring crafted from a silver-toned metal, likely silver or a silver alloy. The ring is constructed with an integrated oval signet face featuring a deeply engraved, stylized motif. This central design consists of two mirrored curved elements with intricate scrolling internal decoration. Smaller incised characters, appearing as a form of calligraphic script, are positioned at the top and bottom of the oval face. One shoulder of the ring displays four distinct incised marks: a single vertical stroke followed by three identical characters resembling the runic Fehu symbol (a vertical stroke with two diagonal strokes extending upwards and to the right). The recessed areas of the engraving exhibit a dark grey patina.
