An Indian silver hinged bangle, or kada, featuring ornate repoussé and chased decoration. The hollow-form hoop is worked in high relief with a dense pattern of scrolling foliate motifs. The terminals are shaped as opposing makara heads, meeting at a central globular boss decorated with a floral motif and a tiered finial. The piece is hinged at the bottom and secures via a fastening at the top.
