A 19th-century silver rosewater sprinkler, or gulab pash, of traditional form. The vessel features a bulbous, globular body resting on a flared circular foot with chased floral borders. A long, slender, tapering neck rises from the body, accented by decorative ringed collars, and terminates in a small, knobbed finial with fine perforations for the dispersal of scented water. The exterior is decorated throughout with dense repoussé and chased ornamentation, featuring scrolling foliate patterns and stylised floral motifs within shaped cartouches.
