Buyer's Premium:

A nineteenth-century child’s tunic-style dress from Central Asia, constructed from woven cotton fabric. The garment features a high-waisted yoke and short, wide-cut sleeves, both heavily decorated with dense hand-embroidery in terracotta-toned thread. The embroidery utilizes geometric and floral wheel motifs, further accented with silver-toned metallic bullion cord and small integrated metallic sequins or mirrors. The skirt is gathered at the waistline, falling into a full silhouette. The front neckline is secured by two sets of hand-braided textile ties. The interior, visible when the garment is opened, shows hand-stitched seams and reveals the original, more saturated teal colour of the base fabric.
