This collection consists of three Southeast Asian Buddhist objects cast in gilt bronze, originating from Thailand. The first item is a bronze head of a Buddha in the Ayutthaya style, featuring a meditative expression with downcast eyes and elongated earlobes. The hair is rendered in tight, stylized snail-shell curls, rising to a segmented ushnisha topped with a flame-like rasmi finial. The bronze shows a dark patina with remnants of gilding and traces of green oxidation. The head is mounted on a modern tapered wooden plinth. The second item is a small statue of a crowned Buddha, identified as the Jambupati style, seated in the bhumisparsha mudra gesture. The figure wears an elaborate crown, wing-like ear ornaments, and a jewelled pectoral, and is positioned atop a high, multi-tiered pedestal decorated with floral and geometric relief motifs. Red lacquer is visible beneath the worn gilding. The third item is a small seated Buddha figure in the bhumisparsha mudra, resting on a tiered lotus-style base. This simpler figure lacks the ornate adornments of the central piece and displays extensive loss to the gilding, revealing the red lacquer ground and dark underlying metal.
