Buyer's Premium:

The flask is of a characteristic crescent form, its body divided into segmented panels by vertical bands of silver granulation. These panels feature repousse and chased foliate and floral scrollwork, with alternating sections finished in gold gilding. The flask is fitted with a hinged, domed lid surmounted by a ribbed finial and further decorated with granulated bands and gilding. The accompanying priming tool features a small bowl ornamented with repousse floral motifs and a spur-like rest at the base. The stem of the tool is intricately wrapped in fine silver filigree wire, tapering towards a plain mouthpiece. Both components are linked by a silver chain attached to circular suspension loops on the bowl base and the inner curve of the flask.
