ALABASTER FEMALE FIGURE SEATED ON A DOVE HOLDING A CHILD, POSING AS APHRODITE, EASTERN GREEK PERIOD OF 300- 200 BC ANCIENT NEAR EAST.

The woman is seated with facial features and swept-back hair, holding a smaller figure to her side. The bird is depicted with its head turned to the right. It stands on an integral, stepped circular base. The surface has a matte, slightly weathered texture with a natural patina and darker staining present in the recessed areas of the carving.
