The stone exhibits a deep cobalt blue colour with prominent golden-flecked pyrite inclusions throughout. The subject is a seated feline, resembling a cat, depicted in an alert posture with its tail curled around the right flank and resting upon an integral rectangular plinth. The base is longitudinally pierced through the centre, a feature characteristic of amulets.
