Lot 30: A ROMAN GLASS APPLIQUE HEAD OF A YOUTH, CIRCA 3RD CENTURY A.D.

A circular glass plaque, cast in translucent amber-toned pate de verre. The central section features a high-relief head of a young man rendered in the classical style, with thick curled hair and a serene expression. The motif is set within an integral flat circular border. The glass exhibits a matte surface texture with numerous internal air bubbles and surface pitting characteristic of the casting method. Four mounting holes are situated at the cardinal points for attachment.
