The object is constructed from a combination of cast and sheet brass. The central circular medallion is decorated with pierced openwork calligraphy, with the name Allah clearly discernible in script. The surrounding four curved, tapering blades are cut from sheet metal and secured to the central frame with rivets, creating a silhouette reminiscent of a tulip or hand. The medallion is mounted onto a cast, hollow, baluster-turned socket base, designed to be fitted onto a wooden or metal pole.
