A bell-form candlestick base, constructed from gilt-copper or a copper-rich alloy. The object features a flared circular foot rising to a domed body decorated with heavy vertical gadrooning. The fluted section is accented by two bands of beaded moulding, located at the upper shoulder and the transition to the base.
