Buyer's Premium:

A curved, double-edged dagger or khanjar of a type attributed to Qajar Persia, dating from the 19th century. The hilt is carved from bone into a traditional waisted I-shape, displaying a characteristic oatmeal texture and natural age-related craquelure. The steel blade features a prominent central medial ridge and tapers to a curved point. The forte is decorated on both sides with gold-inlaid panels, a technique known as koftgari, containing script within rectangular borders and surrounding scrolling foliate motifs.
