Buyer's Premium:

featuring three graduated oval carnelian stones set within silver mounts. Each carnelian stone is deeply engraved with Arabic calligraphy in intaglio. The central stone contains several lines of script in a clear hand, including Surah Al-Ikhlas from the Quran, beginning with the phrase Qul Huwallahu Ahad. The flanking stones are similarly engraved with protective or talismanic inscriptions. The silver mounts are joined by functional pin hinges and terminate in small attachment loops at each end. The reverse of the silver mounts displays chased and engraved foliate scrollwork and floral motifs on the central and left-hand pendants. The right-hand pendant’s reverse is distinct, featuring a plain, domed silver back with incised cross-hatching.
