This Arabic manuscript is a handwritten volume of the Hanafi legal text Bada’i’ al-Sana’i’ fi Tartib al-Shara’i’ (The Wonders of the Crafts in the Arrangement of the Laws) by the twelfth-century jurist Ala’ al-Din Abu Bakr ibn Mas’ud al-Kashani. The volume is identified on the opening page as the sixth part of the work. The text is written in a clear Naskh script using black ink, with rubrics for section headings and key terms including Kitab al-Istiyad (Book of Hunting), Kitab al-Udhiya (Book of Sacrifice), and Kitab al-Ashriba (Book of Drinks) provided in red ink. Catchwords are present on the lower margins of the leaves. The opening page features a calligraphic title and a handwritten ownership or endowment inscription for Abdul Ghani bin Utbah Al-Qadir Al-Husayni. The colophon on the final page records that the transcription was completed on 9 Shawwal 880 AH (approximately February 1476 AD) in Mecca, facing the Kaaba, by the scribe Omar ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn al-Diya’ al-Makki. The manuscript is bound in a brown leather binding featuring blind-stamped decorations including a central circular medallion with an interlaced geometric star pattern and double-line borders with corner motifs.
