Buyer's Premium:

This intact Seljuk Dynasty ring is crafted in yellow gold and dates to the 12th or 13th century. The piece features a high-domed, architectural gallery with a central spherical pearl. The pearl is secured by a four-prong setting consisting of stylized, elongated prongs that extend from the base of the dome. The exterior of the dome is decorated with intricate chased and engraved geometric patterns, featuring horizontal bands of hatching and chevron motifs. The shoulders of the ring transition into scrolling openwork designs. The construction and decorative program are characteristic of Islamic metalwork from the Seljuk period.
