This bronze door knocker is designed in the Orientalist style, featuring a male bust with a prominent handlebar mustache and a large, wrapped turban. The item is constructed using a sand-cast, hollow-back technique. The subject is a traditional motif often identified as a Sultan or Turk’s Head. The assembly consists of the cast bust and a hinged drop-ring knocker attached at the temples. Three mounting holes are integrated into the design, with two located in the upper folds of the turban and one situated below the chin.
