Buyer's Premium:

A large 19th-century Qajar Dynasty Persian brass vase of ovoid form featuring a flared neck and a spreading circular foot. The vessel is constructed using extensive ajoure piercing and fine engraving. The decorative program is organized into several distinct horizontal registers. The shoulder is decorated with a series of teardrop medallions containing figures of musicians, attendants, deer, and birds. The primary central band depicts complex figural and animal scenes, including equestrian hunters, figures riding camels, hounds, and mythical creatures, all set against a dense, pierced foliate ground. A prominent band of calligraphic script is integrated into the openwork design on the lower body. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the finished surfaces.
