This Arabic manuscript contains the Diwan (collected poems) of Abu al-Hasan Ali bin Muhammad al-Tihami (died 1025 AD/416 AH). The text is written in a dark black Naskh script on heavy, handmade cream-toned paper. The colophon on the final leaf states the manuscript was completed on the 15th of Jumada al-Thani, 590 AH, which corresponds to approximately June 1194 AD. The opening leaf includes the title and several ownership inscriptions. One purchase note is attributed to the Mamluk poet Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Muhammad bin al-Hasan al-Farqi al-Qurashi al-Umawi, known as Ibn Nubatah al-Misri . Other ownership marks name Muhammad bin Umar bin Makki (Ibn al-Murahhal) and Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Khalaf al-Matari al-Khazraji. Housed in a 20th-century green textured leather hardcover binding.
