Description
This circular tray is made of silver and decorated with traditional Islamic engraved motifs. The interior surface features a central field of interlocking geometric circles and lozenges. This area is surrounded by a wide band containing circular medallions with Arabic calligraphic inscriptions. These medallions are interspersed with scrolling foliate and arabesque designs. The entire composition is framed by a border of repeating stylized floral patterns. The reverse of the tray is plain and features a slightly raised rim.
