A SILVER ROSEWATER SPRINKLER (GULAB PASH) WITH PEACOCK FINAL, INDIA, LATE 19TH – EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The domed lid is surmounted by a decorative cast finial in the form of a peacock, which holds a serrated, floral-patterned disc in its beak. Positioned beside the bird is a small floral sprig and a small open cylindrical socket. The peacock’s tail is wide and textured with a chased overlapping feather pattern. The body is decorated with horizontal ribbing and a central band.
