This framed calligraphic panel features a mirror-image or musanna composition of the Bismillah (In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate) rendered in Jali Thuluth script. The work is executed in black ink on a cream-coloured paper ground. Located at the bottom centre of the panel is a small calligraphic signature in black ink. The calligraphy is set within several decorative borders, including a narrow inner band of pinkish speckled paper with gold-toned rulings and a broad outer border of traditional marbled paper, or ebru, in shades of teal, green, and white.
