A North Indian architectural lunette carved from red stone. The sandstone tympanum features a symmetrical openwork jali design composed of scrolling foliate and floral motifs. The central pierced section is enclosed by a raised rope-twist border and a plain, rounded outer rim. The flat base shows a rough-hewn surface consistent with original installation into masonry. This piece demonstrates characteristic Indo-Islamic decorative style common in the Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh regions.
