Buyer's Premium:

An antique short-waisted jacket of Ottoman or Balkan origin, of the type often identified as a cepken or pisli. The garment is constructed from a gold-coloured finely woven fabric, likely silk or high-quality linen, and features an open-front design without body closures. It is heavily embellished with dark gold corded couching in scrolling foliate patterns and geometric medallions across the back, shoulders, and front panels. The ornate cuffs incorporate silver metallic ribbon, corded fringes, and a row of small metal spherical buttons that fasten into cord loops. The interior is lined with a cream natural fibre cloth, accented with quilted crimson red silk or satin panels at the interior hem corners and sleeve openings. The garment edges are finished with a red and gold striped woven binding.
