An underglaze-painted ceramic border tile, decorated with motifs characteristic of Ottoman pottery from the 16th or 17th century. The decoration consists of a central, foliate palmette in white and green, flanked by elegant scrolling rumi leaves against a deep cobalt blue ground. A lower margin features a continuous twisted rope or cable motif in green on a white background. The colour palette is dominated by cobalt blue, turquoise-green, and white under a transparent glaze.
