Buyer's Premium:

A rectangular brass plaque featuring relief decoration executed in traditional Kandyan repousse and chasing. The central register illustrates the Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic) in Kandy, showing the octagonal Pattirippuwa tower and main sanctuary buildings. Surrounding the architectural motif is a narrative depiction of the Esala Perahera procession, including caparisoned elephants carrying the tooth relic casket, getabera drummers, dancers, and attendants bearing ceremonial sesath umbrellas. The composition is enclosed within multiple decorative borders featuring registers of repeating human figures and stylised foliate scrolls characteristic of Kandyan artistic traditions. A rectangular cartouche at the lower centre contains a three-line incised inscription in Sinhala script.
