The item is constructed from a copper alloy featuring a surviving gold-gilt finish to the obverse. The entire front surface is densely decorated with raised Arabic calligraphy in a flowing cursive script. The rounded pommel is inscribed with the word Allah, while the cross-guard and blade feature further stylized religious or protective inscriptions.
