This Islamic healing or magic bowl, also known as a tas, is constructed from an engraved copper alloy, likely brass or bronze. The shallow, circular vessel features a densely decorated interior with multiple concentric bands of hand-incised Arabic calligraphy. The script radiates from a central boss and includes star-shaped motifs used as dividers between sections of text. The inscriptions are characteristic of talismanic vessels used in medicinal or divinatory practices, often featuring protective prayers or Quranic verses intended to imbue water with baraka or blessings. The exterior of the bowl is plain and undecorated, showing a wide, slightly recessed base with a central indentation from the manufacturing process
