Lot 259: ANCIENT GREEK HELLENISTIC STYLE SILVER SIGNET RING WITH CLASSICAL RELIEF

This signet-style ring is composed of a darkly patinated metal, in the Hellenistic Greek tradition. The ring features a prominent, flat, oval bezel integrated into a simple, tapering shank. The bezel is decorated with a classical-style scene in low relief, depicting a draped figure in profile on the right side. To the left are additional figures or elements that have become heavily worn and difficult to identify. The entire composition is positioned above a straight horizontal line, or exergue.
