An irregularly shaped talismanic pendant carved from smoky grey to brown banded agate chalcedony. The obverse face is deeply incised with four horizontal registers of kufic calligraphy. The script is executed in a compact, interlocking hand characteristic of talismanic inscriptions from the late Islamic period, typically featuring religious verses or protective prayers. The reverse of the stone is polished, revealing natural white curved banding and internal inclusions. The pendant is fitted with a gold-tone wire-wrap suspension loop at the top.
