Buyer's Premium:

This hanging mosque lamp is attributed to 19th century Syria, featuring a multi-tiered circular form constructed from cast metal with polychrome enamel decoration. The central section consists of pierced metal panels inset with blue and turquoise glass, supported by turned vertical pillars. The domed upper section and tapered lower section are decorated with champleve-style enamel in floral and geometric motifs using a palette of white, red, pink, green, and blue. The lamp is surmounted by a crescent moon and five-pointed star finial. Small cast bird figures are positioned along the upper gallery rim. The object is suspended from three interconnected metal chains joined at a circular hanging cap and terminates in a decorative pierced openwork drop finial.
