The vessel is cast from a copper alloy and features a waisted form with a flared, slightly thickened rim, a rounded shoulder, and a body that tapers to a flat, recessed base. The exterior surface is ornamented with extensive engraving and chasing. The decoration is organised into three horizontal registers. The upper band below the rim contains a continuous frieze of scrolling foliate arabesques. The central waisted section is decorated with repeating ornamental cartouches, some containing complex intertwined geometric endless knots and others featuring dense scrolling vines and floral motifs. The lower band near the base consists of an incised cross-hatched or basket-weave pattern.
