Description
A pair of Qajar earthenware tiles with polychrome glazed decoration, dating to the 19th century. The first tile features a central blue serrated foliate motif set against a bright yellow and cream ground. The second tile displays a large pink blossom with green leaves positioned above a blue scrolling border. Both tiles are constructed from a reddish-brown earthenware body. The reverse of one tile contains two rectangular indentations designed for adhesion, while the reverse of the other tile retains a significant layer of original white mortar.
