Description
This Central Asian garment is constructed from hand-woven panels of ikat-dyed fabric, composed of silk or a silk-cotton blend. The exterior displays a vertical pattern of serrated stripes in shades of deep purple, maroon, ochre yellow, and pale lilac. The robe is designed with an open front and long, straight sleeves. The interior is fully lined with a solid maroon fabric, while the cuffs and hem are finished with a contrasting red printed cotton trim featuring a floral pattern of roses and smaller blossoms.
